Lindy Hop is an African-American dance based on the Charleston. It is danced to the classic Jazz and Big Band music of the 1930's and 40's. Lindy Hop's active and energetic feel can be attributed to its combination of African-American dance movements and improvisation with Europe's formal eight-count dance structure.

West Coast Swing is both a modern and versatile partner dance. It can be danced with Top 40, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, Jazz, and Blues - perfect for parties, weddings, and other social events. With its roots in the bouncier Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing focuses on an extension-compression partnership connection that gives it its distinctive smooth and elastic feel.
